This website
Website privacy
This static website uses no analytics, no advertising trackers, no account system, no contact form and no persistent browser storage. It does not set tracking cookies.
Cloudflare, which hosts and secures this website, keeps ordinary technical logs (such as IP address and request details) needed to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare’s own privacy policy governs how it handles that data.
The iPhone app
App privacy
In the documented core flow, your label image, recognised ingredient text, corrections, matching, explanations and selected food-label region are processed on your device from bundled resources.
You do not need an account to scan. Label images are not sent to Label Lantern for recognition in that core flow.
Your choice
External source links
Opening an official external source is optional and requires connectivity. When you follow an external source link, you leave the bundled offline experience and the destination website applies its own privacy practices.
Current status
Before launch
Label Lantern is still in development. This privacy explanation describes the current documented product design, not a completed App Store release. It will be checked again against the release build and production hosting configuration before launch.
No launch-notification form has been added because no approved mailing provider, retention policy or unsubscribe process has been selected.
